How do you grade the pin quality?

Pins are inherently handmade items, this means that in general they will have minor flaws.

Collector*: perfect pin

Standard**: minor flaws such as (but not excluded to) minor scratches, minor underfills, minor specs, and screen printing slightly misaligned

Seconds***: more noticeable flaws such as (but not excluded to) larger scratches, poorly mixed enamel, missing enamel, larger specs, significant under fills, tarnished metal, missing enamel, significantly foggy clear or stained glass enamel.

*The chances of a “perfect pin” without any flaws is between 0%-5% per batch of pins. I grade the pins with this in mind. To avoid the extreme stress of not being able to meet this expectation of perfection, I often do not provide collectors quality. I choose instead to not grade for collectors and bundle anything that may be considered collectors in with the standards.

**Please note on Clear Enamel Pins that bubbles are considered Standard quality as they are unavoidable.

Why am I being charged Customs and import taxes?

For International orders (outside of USA) you can be charged Customs and Import taxes. These are set by the country you live in; I have no control over them and will not receive them. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I’m also not responsible for delays due to customs.

I want to add more pins how do I do this?

If you are in an early bird tier please add $10 per pin you want to add to your pledge. You can add money by going to the Kickstarter page and clicking “Manage your pledge” then click “change your pledge” from there you can add the amount to your pledge. PLEASE let me know via message if you are adding pins.

If you are in a standard tier please move up in tiers to the appropriate level. You can move up in tiers by going to the Kickstarter page and clicking “Manage your pledge” then you can select the tier you want from there.

(INTERNATIONAL ORDERS) I received a tracking notification but the tracking suddenly stopped!

If your tracking stopped on

“Departed USPS Regional Facility CHICAGO IL INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER “ or “In Transit to Next Facility Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered to its final destination. It is currently in transit to the next facility.”

That means that you did not add the tracked shipping on to your order. (if you did pay for the shipping tracking please let me know. This could mean that your order is lost or that there was an oversight during fulfillment to give you tracked shipping. if Lost please see last paragraph on this answer) At this point the package is with the care of your countries postal service. Even if those aren’t the message you received this can still be the case. Please give it 8 weeks, if it still does not show up please consider the package lost.

Lost packages are something out of my control. What I can do is suggest you file a lost package claim (https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm). If USPS needs to contact me for any reason please give them my email [email protected]. I will be happy to help with the claim through USPS but I will not be able to refund or replace the item, as it is the fault of USPS.

(USA ORDERS) I think the post office lost my mail!

Lost packages are something out of my control. What I can do is suggest you file a lost package claim (https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm). I recommend starting this process 4 weeks after you received your tracking number email. If USPS needs to contact me for any reason please give them my email [email protected]. I will be happy to help with the claim through USPS but I will not be able to refund or replace the item, as it is the fault of USPS. However if you made your order during a sale, I will happily give you that discount again should you chose to reorder.

I missed the Kickstarter date for the Kickstarter campaign. I was wondering if you'd have extras available in your shop afterward.

Yes, I will be selling these pins in my store afterwards. I will not be listing them on my store until all Kickstarter orders have been shipped out. I moved and need to update my address

You should be able to edit your address on your survey up until 48 hours before I ship the packages (that is when I typically will be locking down the surveys) you will be notified of the 48 hours before lock down. If you have any trouble please message me.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
